Refund & Payment Policy
Effective: 29 September 2026 · Version 1.0
Dusk Lord is free to download and play. Some optional items, such as mounts, may be sold for real money. Digital items are delivered at once, so purchases are final — with exceptions for unauthorised charges, technical failures and wherever consumer law requires a refund. Please ask us before asking your bank.
1.How payment works
Payments are processed by Helcim Inc., a Canadian payment processor. The game opens Helcim's checkout page, where you enter your card details directly; we never receive or store your card number. We receive only the result, a transaction identifier and the amount. Helcim's own terms and privacy policy apply to its handling of your payment.
You must be at least 18 and the authorised holder of the payment method. Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes unless stated; you are responsible for applicable taxes and for any bank, card or currency-conversion fees your card issuer charges.
2.Delivery, and when a sale is final
An item is delivered to your account in the game as soon as the payment is confirmed. By buying, you ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge that, to the extent the law allows, you lose any statutory right to withdraw from or cancel a contract for digital content once delivery begins. After delivery a purchase is final, except as set out below.
3.When we will refund
We will normally refund, if you ask within 30 days of the charge, where:
- You were charged but the item was not delivered and we cannot deliver it;
- You were charged twice, or charged the wrong amount;
- You did not authorise the charge — including a purchase by a minor on your payment method without your permission;
- A fault on our side made the item substantially unusable and we cannot fix it in a reasonable time;
- The item was materially different from how it was described when you bought it;
- Consumer law where you live gives you a refund right that cannot be waived.
4.When we will not
- You changed your mind, stopped playing, or bought the wrong item, after delivery;
- The item was later rebalanced, changed, made easier to get, discounted or removed — see Virtual Items, Section 2;
- You lost the item or its value through play, another player, a rollback, or your own actions;
- Your account was closed for breaching the Code of Conduct;
- More than 30 days have passed, unless the law requires otherwise;
- You cannot play because of your own device or network, or an outage outside our control;
- The Service ended, except where the law that cannot be waived requires a refund.
5.How to ask
Email [email protected] with a subject line starting REFUND REQUEST — and include your username and server, the date and amount, what you bought, the transaction identifier or the last four digits of the card if you have them, and why you are asking. We aim to reply within 3 business days and decide within 14 days. Refunds go back to the original payment method, in the original currency, and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
When we refund, we take back the item.
6.Chargebacks
Please contact us before your bank; we can almost always fix a problem faster. If you file a chargeback without contacting us first, we may suspend or close the account and remove the disputed item while the dispute is resolved. We may contest a chargeback we believe is unfounded and give the processor the transaction and account records needed to do so.
7.Purchases by minors
If a child used your payment method without permission, contact us within 30 days with a subject line starting UNAUTHORISED CHARGE —. We will usually refund it and may restrict purchases on the account.
8.Pricing errors
If an item is shown at an obviously wrong price because of a technical or human error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full instead of honouring the mistaken price.
9.Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived, including British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, the consumer law of your province or country, EU and UK rights for faulty digital content, and your card network's rules. Where such a right applies, it prevails over anything inconsistent here.
