The warnings and disclaimers that apply to Dusk Lord. This page adds to, and does not replace, Sections 15 and 16 of the Terms of Service.
1.Health and safety
Photosensitive seizure warning
A very small number of people may have a seizure when exposed to certain flashing lights, patterns or visual effects, even with no history of epilepsy or seizures. Dusk Lord contains flashing and rapidly changing light, including spell and combat effects, fire and glowing effects, lighting that changes with the time of day, and fast camera movement.
Stop playing at once and see a doctor if you have any of: light-headedness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, involuntary movement, loss of awareness, disorientation or convulsions.
To reduce the risk: play in a well-lit room, sit farther from the screen, use a smaller window, take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour, and do not play when tired. If you or anyone in your family has had seizures or epilepsy, talk to a doctor before playing.
Motion sickness and strain
3D games can cause motion sickness, eye strain, headaches, fatigue, and repetitive strain injury to hands, wrists, arms, neck or back. Take regular breaks. Stop and rest if you feel dizzy, nauseous or sore, or feel tingling, numbness or burning, and see a doctor if it continues. Do not play while driving or operating machinery, or anywhere inattention could cause harm.
Time and money
Dusk Lord is a persistent online world that keeps running when you are away, and it is designed to reward coming back. It may offer optional purchases. Set your own limits on time and money, and treat play as entertainment, not an investment. If your gaming or spending feels out of control, please seek help from a professional or a national helpline; to have purchases blocked on your account, email [email protected].
2.Fiction
Dusk Lord is a work of fiction set in an imagined world. Its kingdoms, cities, characters, factions, religions, events and place names are invented. Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, or to real organisations, places or events is coincidental. In-game war, sieges, raids, theft and betrayal are game mechanics and not an endorsement of the real thing.
3.No professional advice
Nothing in the game, on this site or in our documents is legal, financial, tax, medical or other professional advice. The game's economy is a game system, not a model of real markets.
4.Accuracy
We try to keep the site, patch notes, tooltips and in-game information accurate, but we do not promise that any of it is complete, correct or current. Where in-game information conflicts with these legal documents, these documents govern.
5.Plans are not promises
Our website, patch notes, posts and the Ideas board may describe features that are planned, in progress or being considered. These are current intentions, not commitments, and are not part of any contract with you. Plans change: a feature may be delayed, changed or cancelled, and a popular idea may never be built. Do not buy anything on the strength of a feature that does not exist yet.
6.Development and live changes
Dusk Lord is under active development. Features may be incomplete, experimental or unstable, may behave unexpectedly, may be changed or withdrawn, and may cause lost progress. We may reset, roll back or wipe the world. See Terms of Service, Sections 12 and 13.
7.Other players and other sites
Chat, mail, forum posts, names and other player content come from players, not from us. We do not pre-screen them or endorse them, and the word filter will miss things. We are not responsible for other players' content or conduct; report problems under the Code of Conduct. Links to other sites and services, including our payment processor, are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for those sites.
8.The general disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranty of any kind, express, implied or statutory. The full disclaimer of warranties is in Section 15 of the Terms of Service and the limitation of liability in Section 16; both apply to everything on this page.
Nothing on this page excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any consumer right that cannot be waived.
